A call to action for all Wellesley Dads, Moms, coaches, caretakers and youth group leaders to 'mind the gap' where schools cannot.

Social emotional development is a framework that offers skills to address emotional health and wellness throughout the lifetime.  Schools are adding it but these life skills are ideally exercised at home and throughout our community.

The first workshop, led by author and professor Nadja Reilly, PhD, provided the conceptual overview. In this second of three workshops, we ask your ideas to create a healthier community. Bob Anthony will facilitate brainstorming on 'How to break down Wellesley barriers to communication and support'. Bob is a Rotarian and President of Adolescent Wellness, the non-profit striving for every youth to get through adolescence without developing symptoms of anxiety or depression.  Your ideas will move into action through the third workshop, facilitated by Dr. Reilly, that will be scheduled during the work day on Monday or Wednesday, December 4 or 6.

Light buffet and easy conversation begins at 6:15 PM; the workshop is 7-8 PM. There is no fee for guests but we need to know how many seats are needed so please register.
