  • Preventing youth depression and suicide by teaching healthy coping skills through the Interact peer leadership program that directly connects with hundreds of Wellesley youth
  • Buying books and tutoring for elementary grades
  • Buying 500 trees for 4th graders each Arbor Day
The Peer Leadership and Depression Prevention Project acts to reduce the current 10% of Wellesley middle school students who report they experience suicidal ideation. Rotary trains Interact peer leaders to co-facilitate activities improving coping and problem-solving skills for all ages.
