Every year, the Rotary Club of Wellesley purchases and bags 500 tree saplings for distribution to Wellesley fourth graders. This year we will be bagging 500 two year old Ironwood Ostrya Virginiana trees.
Susy Jordon, Wellesley Town Horticultural technician, hands out the bagged saplings to Wellesley fourth graders for planting. She also teaches a lesson on Arbor Day conservation while handing out the trees. Please join us in helping to bag 500 saplings at the DPW parking lot from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16th. All volunteers will receive a 20% discount on tickets to the Taste of Wellesley Event on May 2nd at Elm Bank.
Any questions, call the Rotary Club at 781-591-0759.
