Presented by the Rotary Drug Addiction Task Force
Plan to participate in the first in a series of important and timely seminars planned to fight opioid abuse in our community. Become a part of our comprehensive approach to educating, advocating and provide information about access to services. Help us create opportunities for continued involvement as a unified voice to prevent opioid addiction in our community.
Seminar Structure
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with a panel of experts representing healthcare, law enforcement, faith leaders, education, judiciary, and many other segments of our community. Expect to participate in small discussion groups to express your experiences and views on opioid addiction prevention. Help us develop opportunities for continued participation in Rotary’s commitment to combat addiction.

Purpose and Objectives
- To provide attendees with a brief introduction on the psycho-biological aspects of addiction
- To provide attendees with an overview of the impact of opioid addiction
- To increase awareness of opioid addiction , its etiology and symptoms
- To discuss how legislators, local officials, law enforcement, the judiciary and other stakeholders are responding to the opioid epidemic.
- To encourage ongoing participation by all stakeholders in subsequent efforts to sustain the fight against opioid addiction
