The Rotary Club of Wellesley is proud to again offer its “Taste of Wellesley" annual fundraiser to support our community. The event will again feature a wide variety of signature dishes from Wellesley restaurants, cafes, and caterers, along with live music. We will be hosting the event at the Wellesley Country Club on Wednesday May 20th, 2026 from 6:30 until 9 pm. This year’s theme is again Fighting Food Insecurity. All of us are experiencing significantly higher costs for food, a necessity for life. For the 400+ low-income families and seniors living in our community, food insecurity has become a much bigger issue. The students at Mass Bay Community College and our homeless veterans are also grappling with food insecurity. The proceeds raised from Taste of Wellesley 2024 will provide meals for our low-income residents and direct support to students of Mass Bay and organizations that support homeless veterans. This year, food insecurity among our low-income families and seniors, Mass Bay Community College students, and veterans is more significant, as food prices continue to rise for everyone. Our Rotarians intend to work with our partners at the Village Table, Land’s Sake Farm, Wellesley Housing Authority, Mass Bay Community College and organizations serving veterans to provide meals prepared by volunteers and members of the Rotary Club. They will purchase. prepare and distribute meals to those in need. It is through the generosity of our Wellesley restaurants and local wineries, breweries, chocolatiers, and caterers that we can bring this event to Wellesley. Please thank our local restaurants for their participation in this worthwhile cause. Our 2025 Taste of Wellesley raised over $ 57,000 from ticket sales, sponsorships and the silent auction and at the same time, provide a wonderful evening of food, beverages, live entertainment and opportunities to gather in community. Tickets are available at the Taste of Wellesley website, The customer service desk at Roche Bros. on Linden Street, The Windsor Press at 365 Washington Street, or from any of our Rotary Club of Wellesley members. The mission of the Rotary Club of Wellesley is to serve others with a focus on strengthening our community in the areas of health, education and sustainable living. Consider becoming a Rotarian in 2025! |
