Protecting Our Environment

Preserving today. Sustaining tomorrow.

Environmental stewardship in action

Wellesley Rotary is committed to a healthier, more sustainable community. Through hands-on projects, education, and partnerships, we work to protect our natural resources and inspire environmental stewardship for future generations.

Growing Wellesley's Urban Forest

Tree Planting & Arbor Day

For over 50 years, in celebration of Arbor Day, 500 trees are planted with fourth-grade students.

Our efforts enhance our urban forest, improve air quality, and create beautiful spaces for everyone. It is one of the reasons that Wellesley is designated a Tree City.

Repair, Reuse & Reduce Waste

Repair Café

We bring people together to fix, not replace. Our Repair Café events help reduce waste, save resources, and build community connections.

Local volunteers share skills and knowledge—keeping useful items out of landfills and promoting a culture of sustainability.
